What is Dog Camp?
Adventure camp is an alternative to traditional dog walking services. As an off-leash style pack walking company we strive to be unique and are happy to offer so much more than dog walking. We are a full-service business in that we offer everything from transportation, gear (with a few exceptions) and all required training and support for ongoing success as a member of our Adventure Pack.

Campers are off leash whenever possible, as we utilize remote trails and private land (with owner permission) so as not to disrupt the public or community. This allows the dogs to "be dogs", where they are free to explore and use their natural instincts in safe environments with structure and guidance from our camp counselors. Adventure Camp is held year-round, outdoors in ALL types of weather, only cancelling for extreme or dangerous weather conditions.

Our packs are kept small, and each is tailored foremost by individual energy levels, temperaments, and play styles and then we take into consideration age and size to best suit the needs of each pack. Counselors work with each dog both individually and as a group to ensure there is mutual respect, consent and appropriate socializing at all times within the dynamic of each pack. We focus on teaching impulse control, off leash reliability and basic obedience to ensure safety and comfort for all.

Our daily routine allows for plenty of play and fun balanced with training exercises that not only create structure and set clear expectations for the dogs but also nurture each dog's natural instincts allowing them to maintain composure in times of excitement and be able to easily switch between drives like play, hunt, social and obedience with a few simple cues from counselors.

Because of the unique style of our pack walking service, we do have a more extensive intake process and requirements when integrating new dogs into the pack. We only add new dogs into the pack one at a time, over the course of a few weeks, often resulting in us having a waitlist. However, we do offer training and services to our waitlist dogs that can help speed up the process a bit. Our slower process gives both each current pack member and each new pack member, sufficient time to acclimate to the new dog, routine and environmental changes without over stimulating anyone.
